Today was the turn of Year 8 and 9 to receive their end of year grade reports. A few students met with Principal Dr Steffen Sommer who congratulated them on the excellent effort grades they had achieved.
As head of Year, Mr David Kane explained, "This is a wonderful way to celebrate the end of a successful year. These students have achieved the highest grades possible, and at the same time, made a continuous effort through a long and hard year."
We spoke to two students:
Harrison Granger, originally from Australia has only been at Doha College for one year. Harrison achieved excellent efforts throughout all his thirteen subjects. He explained, "I am passionate about my work and I enjoy extending my learning, I am obsessed with Mathematics and hope to study Computer Science, History and of course Maths for GCSEs."
Hasnah Peracha also achieved a full house of excellent effort grades. Originally from Pakistan, Hasnah has been at Doha College for 2 years and hopes for a career related to business. She is a member of the Student Council and enjoys French and Design Technology the most from all the subjects. In her spare time, Hasnah loves spending time with her family and friends.
